How Transformation Happens

The reality, the response, and the results

The Reality

Brazil has 9.1 million illiterate citizens. In neighborhoods like those in Niteroi, 55% of young people aged 14-17 face crossroads—school dropout, emotional struggles, limited horizons.

For many young people here, the after-school hours are the most critical. It's when the pull toward easier but harmful paths grows strongest. It's also when the right support can change everything.

This is where transformation begins: not by ignoring the challenges, but by meeting young people exactly where they are—and walking with them toward where they want to go.

Takeoff Trails

The Methodology

Young people aren't problems to be solved—they're individuals with rights, capable of reflecting on their reality and building creative solutions.

The Takeoff Trails methodology is socio-educational, interdisciplinary, experiential, and dialogical. It meets young people where they are and walks with them toward where they want to go.

Three Interconnected Axes
